October 29, 30, and 31, Urban Detectives in cooperation with YourCity organizes a three-day workshop at ‘I Bridge You’. The workshop takes place in the context of the Rotterdam European Youth Capital 2009 and is organized in a temporary bridge located over the pedestrian bridge between shopping mall Rotterdam Zuidplein and Charlois.
The aim is to get insights in what for Rotterdam Souths youth are the area’s best valued public places. How do they use them? What are the qualities of these places? How would they improve these? By ways of activities of different scale, depth and playfulness these questions are approached. Improvisation is the keyword during these three days, enthusiasm the driving force.
Results of the workshop will be analyzed, published and offered to the Rotterdam Municipality. November 27th results of the workshop will be presented at the NAi during the Rotterdam Architectural Biennale (IABR). You are more than welcome to participate in any of the occasions!
